An introduction
to Nancy Neuman
Nancy has stepped with trust and imagination through various thresholds in her life’s journey. From teaching, to cardiac therapy, theology and now spiritual direction, many thresholds have been crossed. While watching people recover and establish more wholesome lifestyles in cardiac rehabilitation, she felt a pull to extend that well-being to embrace spiritual dimensions. She began theological studies at Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto’s School of Theological Studies, gaining her Masters of Divinity.
After a few years in church work, the most recent door that’s opened has been Spiritual Direction. Her focus is walking with others to enrich their spiritual awareness and practices so that their lives are more fully lived.
Recently, Nancy has received certification from the Haden institute in North Carolina. Haden has trained hundreds of spiritual directors and is well regarded in the field.
Haden offers a solid grounding in spiritual direction, including an introduction to Jungian depth psychology, dream work, creative space, Enneagram, and contemplative prayer. Graduates continue to have a personal spiritual director for personal growth and a supervisory director for professional accountability.
In her practice, Nancy offers: personal and group sessions for Spiritual Direction, book clubs, forest bathing and contemplative prayer. She is happy to give information sessions to groups, both church and secular.
*The Haden Institute was started by Episcopal priest, Bob Haden, in 1994.
